Benromach Vintage 2014 Cask Strength Batch 03 is a Speyside single malt distilled in 2014 and bottled at natural cask strength. It forms part of the distillery's Vintage Cask Strength series.
The whisky was matured in a combination of first-fill sherry hogsheads and first-fill bourbon barrels. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, with a gentle peat smoke running through it.
The nose offers orchard fruits, sherry-soaked raisins, vanilla pod and malted barley, with subtle peat smoke and oak spice. On the palate come dark fruit, caramel, citrus zest, roasted nuts and chocolate, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry sweetness.
