Benromach x Southern Ontario Sippers Super Tuscan Wine Cask is a 16 year old Speyside single malt, bottled from a single cask for the Southern Ontario Sippers whisky club. It was distilled in 2009 and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit is Benromach's lightly peated style, shaped here by a Super Tuscan wine cask. The Italian red wine wood brings dark red fruit, firm tannins and earthy spice alongside a gentle trace of smoke.
The nose offers dark cherries, blackberries and plum jam, with antique leather, dark cocoa, baking spices and a little peat smoke. The finish is long, with dry wine tannins, chocolate-covered espresso beans and fading wood smoke.
