Big Peat Edinburgh Edition (70cl, 48%)

This is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, in a 70cl bottle at 48%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The blend contains whisky from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen. The label shows the Big Peat mascot, a bearded Scotsman playing the bagpipes. Peat smoke runs through both nose and palate, with cinnamon and other spices, earthy tones and oily walnut. The nose offers rich peat smoke, salty sea air and leather. On the palate come charred oak, spicy summer tar, rock salt and caramelised sugar. The finish is long and sweetish, with peat.
