Big Peat – The Winter Edition Finished in Madeira Wine Casks (70cl)

Big Peat The Winter Edition is a limited-edition blended malt from Islay, made only from peated whiskies from the island's best-known distilleries. It is then finished in Madeira wine casks, which add sweetness and richness to its smoky character. The nose brings sea-washed peat, caramel, smoke, candied citrus and charred wood. On the palate it is powerful, warm and complex, with dense smoke, honey, spice, dried fruit and chocolate. The finish is very long, smoky and gently vinous. Smoked salmon, oysters, grilled meats, dark chocolate or strong cheeses all suit its bold style.
