Bivrost – Midgard Ninth Release (50cl)

Bivrost Midgard is the ninth and last release in the brand's limited-edition series based on the nine worlds of Norse mythology, in a 50cl bottle. It is made in the Lyngen Alps at 69 °N from Nordic barley and glacial meltwater, and distilled in a modern still. The whisky was matured in a mixture of European and American oak, then aged in Oloroso sherry casks. The nose is Oriental spices, clove and vanilla with dried fruits and a touch of sandalwood. The palate has a substantial, oily body, leading to a long finish of dried fruits and gentle oak and sherry undertones.
