Bivrost Muspelheim Arctic Single Malt (50cl, 75%)

Muspelheim is the third Arctic single malt release under the Bivrost name, made by the Aurora Spirit distillery in Norway, far inside the Arctic Circle near Lyngseidet. It is a limited edition in a series based on the nine worlds of Norse mythology, and 2,282 bottles were produced, each in a 50cl bottle. The whisky is a marriage of peated and non-peated spirit, all distilled in 2017. It was matured in ex-Islay single malt barrels, ex-bourbon quarter casks and smaller octave casks. The wash was made from pilsner malt and Scottish peated malt at 55ppm, and the spirit was triple distilled in a copper pot and column still.
