Black Balsam 1752 (70cl)

A traditional Latvian liqueur made to a recipe dating from 1752, blending herbs, roots and spices gathered from the forests of Latvia. Its dark colour and dense appearance precede a complex, enveloping taste. The nose shows deep balsamic, minty and spicy aromas, alongside aromatic herbs and earthy roots. The palate is intense and structured, with a balance between bitter and sweet, supported by a long persistence and a slightly spicy, resinous finish. Ageing in casks develops its richness and smoothness. It suits serving as a digestif or in cocktails with citrus or tonic.
