Black Bottle Double Cask is a Scotch whisky made by blending malts from Spanish casks with a 12-year-old whisky that matured in red wine casks. It is described as a limited edition.
The pairing sets the woody character of the Spanish casks beside the fruitier tones that the red wine casks bring, giving the blend a rich aromatic range.
In the tasting description, red fruits mingle with spicy and woody touches.
