Black Bull 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from Duncan Taylor, bottled at 50% in a 75cl bottle and non-chill filtered.
It is made from half malt whisky from Highland and Speyside distilleries and half Lowland grain whisky. The malt matures in refill ex-sherry European oak butts and refill ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads, while the grain rests in refill ex-bourbon American oak barrels.
The nose is led by sherry, red fruits, ripe cherry and toffee. The palate is thick and creamy, with dark toffee, raw chocolate, dark berries and honey. The finish is long and silky, with buttery toffee, roasted coffee and spice.
