The blend leans heavily towards malt whisky, and its components spent 18 years maturing in American oak ex-bourbon casks.
The nose is dark honey, rich malt, toffee, dried fruit and toasted oak with a hint of smoke. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, raisins, vanilla cream, orange peel, roasted nuts and warm spice. The finish is long and warm, with oak, dried fruit, chocolate and gentle spice.
