Black Bull 40 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky released in small batches, with this bottling coming from batch 5.
The blend is 90% malt. The malts come from Bunnahabhain on Islay and from Tamdhu, Glen Grant and Glenlivet in Speyside, distilled from the mid to late 1960s and into the early 1970s. The grain whisky is from Port Dundas, which has since closed, distilled in 1966, together with a 1965 distillation from Invergordon.
Each batch of this 40 year old differs from the others.
