A blended whisky from James Buchanan & Company, from the 1970s, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose is classic and a little rustic, with caramel, vanilla and toasted cereal, a hint of lemon peel and a very distant trace of peat smoke. The palate is smooth and rich, led by malty sweetness, then vanilla, caramel and cinnamon, moving on to almonds and walnut with a fine touch of smoky peat and salinity.
The finish is medium to short, clean and warm, with vanilla, honey and toasted oak.
