The Prisoner's Share is a blended straight whiskey from High West, bottled at 51% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys aged between four and 15 years.
After blending, the whiskey is finished in French oak barrels that previously held a red blend from The Prisoner Wine Company, and the wine influence is a strong part of its character.
It is dark amber with a ruby tint. The nose brings a slightly dusty note, McIntosh apples, oak, pie crust, nutmeg and date syrup. On the palate are macerated red fruit, black pepper, caramel, blood orange and Brazil nut, ending in a long, juicy finish.
