This is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys from High West, finished in Chardonnay barrels. The Cask Collection range is made by blending selected straight whiskeys and finishing them in second-use barrels. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The bourbon base brings vanilla, caramel and oak, with the Chardonnay finish adding buttery notes, golden apple and a little citrus.
The nose has dried figs, toasted almonds and caramel with baking spice and dark chocolate. The palate shows ripe dark fruits, toffee and nutty sherry, with clove, vanilla and oak. The finish is long and velvety, with warm spice and soft tannins.
