A Midwinter Nights Dram is a limited-edition rye whiskey from High West of Park City, Utah, inspired by Shakespeare's play. It is bottled at 98.6 proof in a 750ml bottle.
The base is High West's Rendezvous, a blend of straight rye whiskeys aged between 4 and 10 years, here finished in Ruby and Tawny Port barrels. The mash bills are 95% rye and 5% barley malt (MGP), and 80% rye and 20% malted rye (High West Distillery).
Tasting notes bring crushed blackberries, fig jam and allspice on the nose, marionberry preserves, cherries and cinnamon bark on the palate, and a velvety, spiced finish with clove and orange.
