Blackened is a blend of North American straight bourbon and rye whiskeys, finished in brandy casks. Its makers use a process they call BLACK NOISE, in which the whiskey is sonically enhanced while it rests in the casks.
The sweetness of the bourbon is balanced by the savoury spice of the rye, and the brandy cask finish adds notes of apricot. Honey and caramel sit within the blend itself.
