Blackwater Planxty Wilcox Five Grain Pot Still Whiskey (50cl, 47.5%)

Blackwater Planxty Wilcox is a single cask Irish pot still whiskey in a 50cl bottle at 47.5%, drawn from a second-fill ex-rye cask. It was distilled in 2018 and bottled as 450 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The mash bill uses five grains, and the whiskey is named after John Wilcox, the head distiller responsible for it. The nose is grassy, with fresh citrus, a restrained sweetness and elderflower. The palate is oily, with pronounced grain, lively citrus and black pepper. The finish is of medium length with spicy notes.
