Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Blade and Bow is a Kentucky straight bourbon made as a homage to the Stitzel-Weller distillery. It uses a solera system to carry forward some of the distillery's oldest whiskey stocks, including some of the last bourbon produced there before it closed in 1992. The solera liquid is mingled with other whiskies aged and bottled at Stitzel-Weller, and the bourbon is aged in new charred American white oak barrels. The nose is subtle, with fresh fruit. The palate shows dried apricot, ripe pear and sweet roasted grain, and the finish brings charred oak and warm winter spices.
