A 15 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, distilled in 1995 and matured in a sherry butt. It is an Old Malt Cask bottling at 50% ABV, gold in colour.
The sherry shows clearly on the nose, alongside mentholated oranges, walnuts and green apples. With water, bread crumbs, toast and a touch of chalkiness come through.
The palate has peppered walnuts, almonds and bitter Seville oranges, with malty development and a little mint once water is added. The finish is long and dry, with roasted malt, leather and gingerbread.
