Blanton's Gold Edition (70cl, 51.5%)

Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel bourbon bottled at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. It was created for bourbon drinkers who value smoothness and complexity. Blanton's bottles are topped with a stopper showing a horse and jockey. From 1999 a collectable set of eight stoppers was produced, each marked with a letter that spells out Blanton's. The nose opens with spicy rye and tobacco, followed by caramel, honey, dark fruit and citrus. The palate repeats rye, tobacco and honey, with toasted oak and vanilla, ending in a very long finish.
