Blanton's – Original Single Barrel (70cl, 46.5%)

This is Blanton's Original, a single barrel bourbon bottled at 46.5% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the centre cut of Warehouse H, where the best barrels, known as honeybarrels, were once kept for dignitaries, ambassadors and the family and friends of Colonel Blanton. The horse and jockey stopper is the brand's mark. A collector set of eight different stoppers has been made since 1999, each marked with a letter that spells Blanton's when complete. The nose offers soft vanilla cream, nuts, caramel, orange and a little chocolate. The overall profile is sweet, with citrus and oak.
