Blanton's Original Single Barrel is a bourbon bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single white oak barrel, in which it rests for five years, and has a deep amber colour. It is chill filtered.
Labelling and waxing are done by hand, and the stopper carries one of eight different horse and rider figures, a reference to the small-scale production.
The nose is powerful, with honey, vanilla, caramel and spice. The palate is rich and creamy, with honey, spice and oak. The finish is long, with peach, citrus and chocolate.
