Blanton's Silver Edition Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 49%)

Blanton's Silver Edition is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 49% in a 750ml bottle. It was developed for the Japanese market and comes from the Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Blanton's Single Barrel was created in 1984 by Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee as the world's first commercially marketed single barrel bourbon. Like every Blanton's, this one was aged in Warehouse H, the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery. The colour is a warm amber. The nose is powerful and dry, with honey, rye, dried fruit, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is full and rich, with sharp apricot, butter, pepper, honey and oak. The finish is long, running from toffee apple to pecan and caramel.
