Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery, named after its former master distiller. Elmer T. Lee is credited there with pioneering single barrel bourbon.
Each bottle is drawn from one hand selected barrel, so releases vary slightly. It is bottled at 90 proof (45%) in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is honey, vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and light spice. The palate is smooth and balanced, with brown sugar, butterscotch, baking spice and ripe fruit. The finish is clean, warm and gently sweet, with oak and vanilla lingering.
