Blanton's Special Reserve Green Label Single Barrel Bourbon (70cl, 40%)

Blanton's Special Reserve, also known as Green Label, is the export-only version of Blanton's single barrel bourbon, made at Buffalo Trace in Kentucky. It is the same Kentucky straight bourbon as the Original, bottled at 80 proof (40%) in a 700ml bottle. Each bottle is drawn from one barrel aged in Warehouse H, the only metal clad warehouse at Buffalo Trace. The label is filled in by hand with the dump date, barrel number, warehouse and rick, and the bottle is topped with a horse and jockey stopper. The nose is caramel, vanilla and honey with light citrus. The palate is smooth and gentle, with toffee, honey and soft baking spice. The finish is clean and mellow, with lingering sweet oak.
