Blanton's Straight From The Barrel is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut and unfiltered at full barrel proof, with no water added. It is made at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort from the distillery's high rye Mash Bill Number 2 and matured in Warehouse H. Because each bottle comes from one barrel, the strength varies, typically between 125 and 135 proof, and the exact proof, barrel number, warehouse, rick and dump date are printed or handwritten on the label. It is released mainly for export markets. Expect a nose of dark chocolate, caramel, walnut and hazelnut, a palate of warm vanilla, oak, toasted nuts, dark fruit and rich spice, and a long, intense finish with butterscotch and honey.
