This is a blended Scotch whisky, labelled as 40 years old and released by Living Souls as Batch 1 in 2024. It is bottled at cask strength, 41.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour.
Malt makes up 40% of the blend and includes Glenfarclas, Glen Garioch, Fettercairn and Blair Athol. A further 25% is grain from Cambus, a closed distillery. The whisky matured in refill sherry butts from 1998, ex-Islay casks.
The nose is rich with exotic pineapple and orange, alongside earthy notes and a little smoke in the background.
