A Grande Champagne cognac from Exshaw, distilled in 1937 and bottled in 1966 by the London merchants Block, Grey and Block. It was bottled at 66° proof, which is 38% ABV.
Exshaw was founded in 1805 by John Exshaw, who matured young cognacs in France rather than shipping them in cask to London, as was usual then. The house was bought by Otard in 1975 and is no longer produced.
This bottle comes from the cellars of King's College, Cambridge.
