This is an Irish single pot still whiskey from Boann Distillery near Drogheda in County Meath, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. It is triple distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted barley with some oats and rye. The whiskey matures first in American bourbon barrels, then finishes in Marsala wine casks. It is bottled without added colouring. The nose brings linden blossom, hay and light honey with mandarin and lemon zest. On the palate come grapefruit, mandarin and soft honey, with pot still spice, herbs and oak. The finish is long and dry, with lemon, black pepper and a trace of oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
