Bodega Cat Straight Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Bodega Cat Spirits Co., with branding that nods to New York. It is bottled at 90 proof, or 45% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is rich in rye grain, giving a spicy, full-bodied whiskey with caramel, toasted oak and a hint of vanilla.
The nose is bold spice, caramelised sugar and oak. On the palate, rye grain spice is balanced by smooth vanilla and burnt sugar, and the finish is long and warm, with a touch of dry wood.
