Bolgheri Superiore DOC Impronte Giorgio Meletti Cavallari

A red wine from Bolgheri, produced in limited quantities with careful grape selection. It shows an intense ruby red colour with slightly garnet reflections. The nose offers ripe black fruit such as blackcurrant and blackberry, with spice, cedar wood, tobacco and a hint of chocolate from barrique ageing. On the palate it is robust yet balanced, with well-integrated tannins, balanced acidity and a long, persistent finish with mature fruit and spice. It suits rich dishes such as grilled red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
