A limited edition single malt from Bonnington distillery in Leith, the home of Crabbie whisky. It was matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The cask brings classic dried fruit character, together with candied almonds, summer berries, freshly cut ginger and soft tannins reminiscent of black tea.
The nose is sweet, with sugar, pick and mix, fresh oak and green wood. The palate is fresh, with subtle red fruit and a light dusting of sugar on berries, and the finish has plenty of wood and tannins with some salty notes.
