Borgo Scopeto Chianti Classico Riserva 2022 (14.5%)

Borgo Scopeto Chianti Classico Riserva 2022 is a red wine made from Sangiovese grown in Vagliagli and Castelnuovo Berardenga at 360-450 metres. The parcels lie on a chalky, sandy subsoil. After about ten days of alcoholic fermentation and classic malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for at least 24 months, including 12 months in 30 hl Slavonian oak casks, with the rest in steel tanks, then three months in bottle. It is very intense in colour and viscous in the glass. The nose develops cherry, plum, blackcurrant, mocha, bitter chocolate, liquorice, nutmeg and vanilla. The palate is full and spicy, with a velvety character that wraps the tannins well. It finishes with harmony and elegance. Serve with meat dishes such as duck, lamb, veal or game, and milder cheeses.
