Bowmore 10 Year Old Dark & Intense is an Islay single malt in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40%. It was matured in a marriage of Spanish oak sherry casks and hogsheads, giving a sherry-led style with dark fruit, chocolate and spice, and Bowmore's smoke sitting quietly in the background.
The nose brings raisins, prunes, cocoa and soft peat smoke. On the palate it is full and round, with sherry influence, dark fruit, light chocolate and spices. The finish is medium to long and warm, slightly smoky, with a sweet sherry note.
