Bowmore – 100 Degrees Proof (1L, 57.1%)

Bowmore 100 Degrees Proof is a small-production edition of Bowmore, in a one-litre bottle. It is bottled at 100 degrees proof (57.1%), the strength it had in the cask, and it is not filtered. The name refers to the old proof test, said to have been used by British sailors in the 18th century. They checked that their rum had not been watered down by mixing it with gunpowder and setting it alight. If it burned, it was 100% proof.
