Bowmore – 11 Year Old 2014/2026 Douglas Laing Old Particular The Islay Collection Tequila Cask

This is an Islay single malt from Bowmore, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2026 by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It belongs to The Islay Collection, where turquoise stands for the seas around the island. The whisky was matured in a tequila cask, chosen to give a bright, boundary-pushing expression. On the nose there is gentle peat smoke and sea breeze with lime zest, agave sweetness and grilled pineapple. Smoky citrus and vanilla open the palate, moving to peppery oak, salted grapefruit and agave nectar. The finish is crisp and lightly smoky.
