Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt from one of Scotland's oldest working distilleries, established in 1779. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It balances peat smoke, citrus and a gentle sweetness.
The nose has soft peat smoke, citrus peel, honey and light vanilla. The palate is elegant and balanced, with smoke, citrus, malt and a hint of sea salt. The finish is medium to long, slightly smoky, with subtle sweet and spicy notes.
