Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. It is moderately peated, giving a balanced smoky profile rather than an intense one, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is described as combining smoky warmth, citrus brightness and subtle sweetness.
On the nose there are soft peat smoke, lemon zest and honey. The palate is balanced between smoke, vanilla, citrus and dark chocolate. The finish is warm and smooth, with lingering peat and gentle sweetness.
