Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt, distilled and bottled in Scotland and often described as the island's medium-peated malt. The malt is smoked in a peat-fired kiln.
The whisky is matured in two kinds of cask: hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak Oloroso sherry casks.
It is described as having notes of honeyed lemon and driftwood embers, and it can be taken neat, with ice, or with a splash of water to bring out the flavour.
