This is a 12 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, labelled Sherry Cask and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Bowmore stands on the shore of Loch Indaal, in the middle of Islay. Its name means 'the great reef'. The distillery was founded in 1779, which makes it one of the oldest in Scotland, and it has belonged to the Japanese group Suntory since 1994. Its water comes from the River Laggan.
