Bowmore 15 Year Old Golden & Elegant is an Islay single malt made for the travel retail market, bottled at 43% in a one litre bottle.
It matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks and hogsheads, which gives a lighter, fruitier style with a subtle, supportive Islay smoke.
The nose has vanilla, honey, ripe apple, light citrus and soft peat smoke. The palate is round and smooth, with bourbon sweetness, fruit, light spice and restrained smoke. The finish is medium-long and softly smoky, with warm wood.
