This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, in a 70cl bottle at 43% abv.
The whisky spent 12 years in bourbon casks and then a further 3 years in sherry casks. The sherry casks shaped the finish and gave the whisky a pronounced fruit character.
In the glass it is a dark amber. The nose brings smoke, raisins, vanilla and dark chocolate. On the palate come smoke, sherried fruit, dark berries, wood and honey, followed by a long, lightly smoky finish with dried fruit.
