Bowmore 15 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is a single malt from the island of Islay, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured first in bourbon casks and spends its last three years in oloroso sherry casks. It has a deep, dark amber colour.
The nose is sweet vanilla and toasted almonds, with stewed apples, pastry, cinnamon, sultanas and dark chocolate. The palate brings candied orange, toasted walnuts, blackberry jam and a salty sea breeze. The finish is long, with subtle smoke that is fresh and woody, like a glowing fire.
