Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured first in bourbon barrels and then in Oloroso casks, with the final three years spent in Oloroso sherry. This sherry cask finish gives the whisky its rich, deep colour and a warming finish.
The nose combines dark chocolate and raisin with the classic Bowmore smokiness. On the palate there are cedar wood and rich treacle toffee. The finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
