Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured first in bourbon barrels, then in Oloroso sherry casks. Those final three years in Oloroso give it a deep colour and a warming finish. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distiller's notes describe dark chocolate and raisin on the nose alongside Bowmore's smokiness. The palate brings cedar wood and rich treacle toffee, and the finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
