Bowmore 15 Year Old is a single malt Scotch from Islay, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured first in bourbon barrels and then in Oloroso sherry casks, with the last three years spent in the sherry wood. That final stage gives the whisky its deep, dark colour and a warming finish.
The nose combines dark chocolate and raisin with Bowmore's usual smokiness. On the palate there are cedar wood and treacle toffee, and the finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
