Bowmore – 15 Years (1L, 43%)

This is a 15 year old Bowmore single malt from Islay, bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle. The distillery was founded in 1779, which makes it one of the oldest in Scotland. The whisky is matured in two stages. The main maturation takes place in bourbon and sherry casks, followed by a finish in an Oloroso sherry cask. The nose offers dried fruit sweetness, dark chocolate and hints of smoke. On the palate come cedar wood and rich molasses toffee, with a touch of sherry tannins.
