Bowmore 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured in Oloroso sherry casks, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The sherry and peat smoke associated with Bowmore are both present here, balanced by the cask.
The tasting notes describe an amber whisky with smoke, caramel, dark chocolate and dried fruit on the nose. The palate is full-bodied and fruity, with dark chocolate and a light smoky note. The finish is long and warming, with sherry, smoke and woody notes.
