Bowmore 18 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is an Islay single malt matured for 18 years in hand-selected ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
It is a rich, fruity whisky that pairs a range of fruit notes with a gentle peat character.
On the nose there is pineapple, filled chocolate and cocoa beans, mixed with citrus and a touch of peat. The palate brings moist sultanas, layered orange peel, a hint of aniseed spice and cocoa beans. The finish is fruity and powerful, with depth.
