Bowmore 18 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured for eighteen years in hand-selected oak casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
William Simson founded Bowmore in 1779, and it was the first Islay distillery to receive a licence. It is home to the oldest Scotch maturation warehouse, the No.1 Vaults. The Morrison family bought the distillery in 1963 era hands and sold it to the Japanese company Suntory in 1994.
